“Introduction to Linux” online course previously priced at 2400 USD will be free later this year.

The Linux Foundation announced it will provide the Introduction to Linux course at no cost on edX website.

As edX website says:

linux“Prerequisites: None. However, the course does assume familiarity with computers and common software, such as would be had from daily computer use.”

There are no requirements to take this online class and you can register right away on edX  site.

   If you don’t have time for the complete course you still can register to audit this course and have complete access to all of the course material, tests, and the online discussion forum. 

There is not much information right now. We know the course will be this summer and that will take 40-60 hours to complete.  A free certificate of completion will be provided after you finished the course.
